What is a Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group?

A Kintsugi Hope Group is a safe and supportive space for people who feel or have felt overwhelmed, providing tools for self-management in a facilitated peer mentoring style setting.

It consists of a structured yet flexible series of 12 weeks of content, which includes group and individual activities designed to help participants to accept themselves, to understand their value and worth, and grow towards a more resilient and hopeful future.

The role of the Group Leader is to facilitate the sessions using the material available, signposting people if necessary to further help and support. It can feel vulnerable and scary starting a group, but the benefit of a Kintsugi Hope Group is that Group Leaders are not on their own.

Issues covered include; disappointment, loss, anxiety, anger perfectionism, shame and resilience. Feedback so far has been amazing.

Street Pastors

THE CHURCH IN ACTION ON THE STREET

Click Here for details of the National Website

“Street Pastors is about Christians rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in practically responding to the problems of crime and safety…”

Since Street Pastor began we have trained over 12,000 street and prayer pastors, who have played an active part in strengthening community life and working for safer streets. Currently, more than 240 town and cities around the UK have a Street Pastors team. When you add prayer pastors, management teams and trustees, this means that there are over 20,000 volunteers in total associated with the Street Pastors network.

The Street Pastor serve by offering support to people in  the night-time economyWhichever context they are in, street pastors offer reassurance, safety and support through caring, listening and helping. They work together with other partners to make communities safer.

Caerphilly Street Pastor are part of a national team first pioneered in 2003, our first patrols started in 2011.

Street pastors are trained volunteers from local churches and we care about our community.

We are usually on patrol from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on a Saturday night to care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets.

We are led by our local coordinator and we also have support from local churches

Here is a link to their website

Club 707 has now being based in Caerphilly for the past 10 years and in partnership with many churches God has expanded our vision. Since 2015 as a Registered Charity (Number 116186) and with this 'unity' of the churches, God has guided and allowed us to do so much more for the young people in our town.

Club 707 is now supporting local 'Kids and youth clubs', running 'Holidays clubs' in different churches and having  the great opportunity to work with all 'Primary Schools' in Caerphilly and surrounding areas. also having a great relationship with the three 'Comprehensive Schools' and more.. supporting local churches with their youth Christian groups by running 'Discipleship courses' and 'New Leaders' programs.

We are strong believers that with God on our side and working together as

"One body and many parts" (1 Cor 12:12) we can reach out God's HOPE and SALVATION to so many people.

"When God sees His people working together in unity, He will pour out and special blessing on them" Psalm 133.
